2020 – 2022 Prime Weber Shandwick

Executive Creative Director at Prime Weber Shandwick, responsible for the creative output across the agency's clients, including talent growth and new business.

During his two years at Prime Weber Shandwick, Carl led pitches and projects leading to several prominent new business-wins and a range of awards show wins.
Creatively, the agency went from being ranked 30th in the country to being named Sweden’s most awarded agency at Guldägget 2023.
Carl also worked hands-on in projects as Creative Director and Copywriter.

2018 – 2020 R/GA New York

Creative Director at R/GA New York, running cross-disciplinary projects for Verizon, Samsung and LEGO. Led key new business projects and pitches including strategic positioning, branding and campaign work for some of the most famous tech companies in the world.

2015 – 2018 / Freelance

Freelance Creative Director / Copywriter, creating and overseeing work for clients such as Samsung, T-Mobile, Verizon, Chobani, Pepsi, The North Face, Dove, Timberland, Disney, General Mills, and many more.

2013 – 2015 / W+K NEW YORK

Created global campaigns for Delta Airlines, Heineken and Southern Comfort. Including winning Delta’s first Cannes Lion for the agency. 

In 2011, only three years into my career, I was named the world's most awarded copywriter by the annual publication The Big Won.

2010 – 2013 / BBDO NEW YORK

In 2010, I relocated from Stockholm to New York to join BBDO and their Digital Innovation Group. My main focus was to create integrated and digital work for AT&T. 

2008 – 2010 / FARFAR

At Farfar I worked on creating global campaigns for Nokia and national work for the World Wildlife Foundation, the cell service provider Comviq and the Swedish Milk Board Arla. Notable efforts include the campaign “The World’s Biggest Signpost” for Nokia, that went on to win every top honor in the industry and was named the most awarded campaign of 2010 by the Big Won Report.

Birth – FIRST REAL JOB

Born in Sweden, but raised on both sides of the Atlantic. I studied advertising at Berghs School of Communication, where I graduated into a job as copywriter at Farfar, the number one digital agency in the world at the time.

 

So far, I've won over 100 international advertising awards and been included in Veckans Affärer’s (Business Weekly) list of “People to Watch,” received the “Chicken Scholarship” (Best New Talent) by the Swedish Advertising Association and served on a several juries including Clio Awards Interactive Jury, ADDY’s, Guldägget Film and Guldägget Titanium & Integrated.
